B S Yediyurappa: Ex-Karnataka CM says BJP to tie-up with JD(S) for 2024 Lok Sabha polls | Bengaluru News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Former Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will have an understanding with JD(S) for 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Yediyurappa also said that Union minister Amit Shah has agreed to give four Lok Sabha seats to JD(S) as part of poll understanding with BJP.
“I am happy that Deve Gowda ji met our Prime Minister and they have already finalised about 4 seats. I welcome them…,” Yediyurappa told reporters.
JD(S) had reportedly sought opinions of the MLAs, ex-MLAs, and senior party leaders about supporting the BJP in Loksabha election and most leaders had given their opinion in favour of an alliance with the BJP.
Earlier, former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy had claimed at various times that the JDS w would fight alone, while HD Devegowda had said the party cadre were not slaves of any National party.
In 2019 JDS had won just one Loksabha seat from the family pocket borough of Hassan where HD Devegowda had made way for grand nephew Prajwal Revanna.
