NEW DELHI: As former opening batter Shikhar Dhawan turned 38 on Tuesday, the Indian cricket fraternity and fans flooded social media with warm wishes for the cricket stalwart.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) joined the chorus of well-wishers by taking to Twitter to extend their greetings to the accomplished player.
In a tweet, BCCI highlighted Shikhar Dhawan’s remarkable cricketing journey, acknowledging his impressive stats across 269 international matches and a tally of 10,867 international runs.
The cricket board also noted his significant contribution to India’s success, being a crucial part of the 2013 Champions Trophy-winning team.
