Despite Pakistan’s efforts, they were unable to secure their first win on Australian soil since 1995. Australia, led by skipper Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, successfully orchestrated Pakistan’s collapse in the final Test, clinching the series 3-0.
In the deciding Test, Josh Hazlewood‘s four-wicket haul played a crucial role in Australia’s victory. Star opener David Warner, in his farewell Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, contributed a solid 57 off 75 balls in his last innings before being dismissed by LBW to offspinner Sajid Khan on review.
Warner bid adieu to his Test career as Australia’s fifth-leading run-scorer in the format, marking the end of a sparkling Test journey.
