Stellaro brands goes offline with Rangita; plans to add 10 new stores – ET Retail


New Delhi: Rangita, an ethnic wear label from Stellaro Brands, a subsidiary of e-commerce company Snapdeal has forayed into offline space with the launch of two exclusive stores, Himanshu Chakrawarti, CEO, Stellaro Brands told ETRetail exclusively.

Rangita targets women in the 20-plus age group and offers affordable ethnic wear. The brand has launched its first two stores in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

Commenting on the company’s strategy to go offline, Chakrawarti said, “Rangita has performed exceptionally well in the online market. We are agnostic in terms of offline and wanted to explore this space.”

With this foray, the fashion brand aims to establish a strong offline presence and tap into India’s fast-growing fashion market for trendy yet well-priced women’s fashion.

The company plans to open 10 more stores in the next 6 months across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana shared Chakrawarti.

Delving into the company’s strategy to expand in the Southern market, he said, “For the value market in India on a per capita basis, South is 2-3 times higher than other parts of the country. Further, he added for ethnic wear, there is no winter slowdown in the Southern market.”

Without sharing Rangita’s performance numbers, Chakrawarti said that on two key channels Amazon and Ajio – Rangita is one of the top 6-7 brands in ethnic wear. The fashion brand sells products in the price range from Rs 399 to 1,499.
