DEHRADUN: After a long wait, Dumak might get a road by the year-end. After TOI reported Thursday that the 250-odd voters in Dumak had decided to boycott polls over the promised road, Uttarakhand Rural Roads Development Agency (URRDA) CEO Kamrendra Singh issued a statement saying pending work on the road will be completed in eight months, reported.
URRDA said the delay in building a road to the remote village, situated at 6,000ft altitude, in Chamoli district was due to “change in alignment because of landslides in the area”.
