A video circulating on social media purportedly shows Surya exiting a venue amid chaos after allegedly being heckled.
The complaint was filed by organizers of a meeting of cooperative sector representatives against the Congress candidate for Bengaluru South, Sowmya Reddy, and her supporters, as per the release from Surya’s office.
The incident reportedly occurred on April 13, during a “meet and greet” session organized by key representatives of the cooperative sector at Surya’s election office. The complaint alleges that individuals associated with the Congress party, without invitation, forcefully entered the meeting and caused disruption.
In their complaint, the representatives demanded that FIRs be filed against the Congress candidate and her associates, urging a thorough investigation into the incident.
As the election fervor intensifies, such incidents highlight the tense atmosphere prevailing in certain constituencies. The Election Commission is expected to take swift action to address the complaint and ensure fair campaigning practices leading up to the polls.
