Territorial Army soldier’s brother killed in J&K’s Rajouri | India News – Times of India

SRINAGAR: Terrorists killed a Territorial Army soldier’s brother Monday night, firing multiple shots at his home in Kunda village near Sharda Sharief of Thanamandi in Jammu division’s Rajouri district.
Sources said 40-year-old Mohammad Razak, who worked in the social welfare department, suffered critical bullet wounds and died while being transported to a nearby hospital.
The attack, believed to be aimed at disrupting the polls in Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat on May 7, prompted a joint operation by police and Army to catch the killers.
This is the third terrorist attack on civilians in J&K this election season. On April 17, a 35-year-old roadside food vendor from Bihar was shot dead in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, while a tourist taxi driver from New Delhi suffered bullet wounds in Shopian district on April 8.
