Sportswear and athleisure brand Agilitas Sports has appointed Nirdosh Chouhan its chief technology and product Officer, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Chouhan, a member of the founding team at Agilitas Sports, brings over two decades of expertise in technology and product development. He will lead tech at Agilitas, driving innovation in athleisure and sports footwear using state-of-the-art technology, the Bengaluru-based company said in the statement.

“As we continue our journey to redefine the sportswear industry, we are thrilled to welcome Nirdosh Chouhan to the Agilitas Sports family as the CTPO. His extensive experience and proven track record in technology and product leadership makes him the ideal candidate to lead our efforts in driving innovation and delivering exceptional experiences to our customers,” Abhishek Ganguly, founder of Agilitas Sports, said.

Prior to joining Agilitas Sports, Chouhan held positions in companies such as Apple, Oyo, Oracle, and Mellora.

“I am truly honoured to join the versatile team at Agilitas Sports and lead the charge in leveraging technology to revolutionise the athletic sportswear industry and pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence. I look forward to crafting solutions that resonate deeply with the next generation of athletes and to drive impactful change and elevate our brands to new heights,” said Chouhan.

On April 19, ET reported that Agilitas Sports acquired Italian shoe brand Lotto’s India licence for 40 years under a partnership struck with Lotto’s parent company WHP Global.

This agreement grants Agilitas Sports control over manufacturing, design, and sales of Lotto products across India, South Asia, and Australia.

In May last year, Ganguly and two other top executives from Puma India left the German firm to establish Agilitas, subsequently raising Rs 430 crore from Convergent Finance.

In December 2023, it raised Rs 100 crore in funding from venture capital fund Nexus Venture Partners.
