HYDERABAD: A 108-year-old woman is among the first to cast her vote for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in Telangana on May 13.
On Friday, the woman Eshwaramma, a resident of KCR colony in Nizamabad, cast her vote at her house making use of the home voting facility.
Home voting will continue up to May 6, Nizamabad District Election Officer and collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanmanthu said.There are a total of 1758 voters who opted for home voting in Nizamabad parliamentary constituency. This includes 858 senior citizens above the age of 85 years and 899 Persons with Disabilities.
In Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency too, officials went around to the houses of those who had opted for home voting and facilitated it.
