‘Kejriwal has lost his mind after going to jail’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Reacting to Arvind Kejriwal’s remark that the BJP plans to oust Yogi Adityanath from his position if the party secures another term, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said the Aam Aadmi Party chief has lost his mind after going to jail.
“Kejriwal has lost his mind after going to jail. The Delhi CM, who shattered Anna Hazare‘s aspirations and sided with the corrupt, is now targeting me.He has embraced the Congress, against whom Anna protested, like a necklace,” CM Adityanath said while addressing a rally in Hamirpur.
“Kejriwal has shattered Anna Hazare’s hopes. It must be disheartening for Anna to witness the kind of politics that has arisen from his movement,” the chief minister said, adding that Anna Hazare might never forgive the AAP national convener for this “betrayal”.
The UP CM also noted a stark contrast between the state of Bundelkhand a decade ago and now. “Earlier, the mafia was dominant here, there was the terror of mining mafia, land mafia, forest mafia and dacoits. Samajwadi Party and Congress have been the protectors of these mafia and dacoits. These people used to send such elements from here as public representatives, then the same mafia and dacoits used to exploit the people and commit robbery on resources. The youth of Bundelkhand, endowed with natural resources, were compelled to migrate, while women had to travel long distances to fetch water,” Adityanath added.
He also suggested that the Samajwadi Party, Congress, AAP and the RJD share similar ideologies and would collectively exploit common people upon assuming power.
“It is our good fortune that we have seen the changing India. The country is increasing its prestige in the world today,” he said while highlighting BJP’s achievements.
Polling in Hamirpur will be held in the fifth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections on May 20.
