NEW DELHI: Delhi-NCR continued to reel under a heatwave for the second consecutive day as the mercury breached 45oC at 10 stations on Saturday. Mungeshpur in northwest Delhi was the hottest at 46.8oC.
The heat spell will continue next week as the maximum temperature is predicted to hover around 45oC for the next seven days. A few stations are expected to record temperature higher by one to two degrees.India Meteorological Department has sounded a ‘red’ alert for Sunday while an ‘orange’ alert has been issued from May 20 to 22.
