He said that the TMC, which once championed the slogan ‘Maa, Maati, Manush,’ has failed to protect these values.
PM Modi said, “To protect ‘their Shahjahan’, the people of TMC are questioning the character of the sisters of Sandeshkhali,” “The kind of language that they (TMC) are using for them, the daughters of Bengal will reply to the TMC by destroying it through their votes.”
PM Modi also accused the TMC of spreading false accusations against ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, and Bharat Sevashram Sangha to appease their vote bank. This was in response to Mamata Banerjee‘s earlier speech where she claimed some monks were influenced by BJP leaders.
He said “The TMC has gone beyond its limits by spreading canards against ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha. West Bengal Chief Minister (Mamata Banerjee) is threatening them. They are threatening them just to appease their vote bank.”
PM Modi also claimed that the TMC and Congress in West Bengal are “two sides of the same coin”.
Later in the day, at a rally in Bishnupur, West bengal PM Modi said that, “TMC is shaking because it sees its time is over now. In their desperation, TMC leaders have started to hurl abuses at prestigious organizations like ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, and Bharat Sevashram Sangha. These organizations have brought glory to Bengal, but the CM of this state claims they are ruining Bengal.”
“Under pressure from Muslim extremists, she has publicly insulted our faith,” he added.
“Huge amounts of money has been found at the houses of Congress leaders…” he said. “Similarly, the leaders of TMC also have bundles of money with them. They abuse Modi, but have I ever tried to hide anything from you?”
PM Modi referred to an election speech by Mamata Banerjee in which she had alleged that some monks of Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha are working under the influence of BJP leaders in Delhi. Mamata said that, “Some monks of Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha are working under the influence of BJP leaders in Delhi. Those who are looking after temples are doing great spiritual jobs, but everyone is not doing so. This is not done. We respect the monks,”
The prime minister hit out at the “corrupt INDIA bloc, including the TMC”, saying, “It is Modi’s guarantee that no corrupt persons will be spared.”
“After the new government is formed on June 4, corrupt people will spend their lives in jail. After the Lok Sabha poll results, the action against them will intensify,” he added.
