In the past few days, many Bollywood actors have been urging their fans to exercise their right to vote during the Lok Sabha elections 2024. And as Mumbai casts it vote today, many actors were spotted at booths, exercising their rights early in the morning. Known to be an early riser, Akshay was one of the first few actors to vote and was spotted at the booth around 7am on Monday.After casting the vote, he showed his inked finger to the paparazzi and even spoke to the media.
In an ANI video, Akshay stated, “I want my India to be developed and strong. I voted keeping that in mind. India should vote for what they deem is right…I think voter turnout will be good…”
Meanwhile, Bollywood siblings Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar also stepped out early on Monday morning to vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. They were accompanied by their mother, Honey Irani. In visuals captured by ANI, the trio could be seen patiently waiting in line at their designated polling booth in Mumbai.
Janhvi Kapoor, who is going all out to promote her upcoming release ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, also arrived at the voting booth early in the morning. Decked in a pink traditional suit, the actress sported a dupatta featuring the lyrics of her latest song, ‘Dekha Tenu Pehli Pehli Baar Ve’.
After casting their votes, they proudly flaunted their ink-stained fingers.
