The films are adaptations of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novels, narrating the story of the Chola dynasty’s power struggles. The film’s grand sets and historical authenticity were beautifully shot at Ramoji Film City.
Pushpa: The Rise
Starring Allu Arjun, this action-packed film follows the rise of a labourer to become the boss of the Red Sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The film’s rugged and realistic depiction of the forest smuggling world was effectively shot at Ramoji Film City, with the sequel, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ currently in production there as well. The movie will be released on August 15, 2024.
