Review guarantees as people voted BJP: Congress spokesperson to Karnataka CM | India News – Times of India

MYSURU: M Lakshmana, the state Congress spokesperson who lost the Lok Sabha elections from Mysuru, has called upon CM Siddaramaiah to reassess and reevaluate the guarantee schemes being run by the government in Karnataka.
Addressing reporters here on Saturday, Lakshmana pointed out that BJP has accused the state govt of encouraging laziness through these guarantee schemes, while the voters have supported the BJP, indicating a lack of interest in these freebies. He suggested the state govt should make these schemes available only for the needy.

While insisting that he was not disheartened or disappointed by his defeat, Lakshmana questioned the voters of Mysuru, wondering for how long will they continue to disappoint and humiliate the CM, who has undertaken significant development work in Mysuru. He claimed the previous CM, Basavaraj Bommai, did not allocate even Rs 5 worth of development projects for Mysuru.
“People can defeat me any number of times, but I don’t know why they are doing such injustice to CM Siddaramaiah. Why are they hurting him? There is no CM with such a clean image in the entire country,” he further claimed. Lakshmana also wondered what more did he need to do to prove his Vokkaliga credentials.
