Double Barrel 1000cc: Engine and specs
At the heart of the Double Barrel lies a 1000cc V-twin engine, using two 500 cc units sourced from Royal Enfield. This motor cranks out 53.7 hp of power and 82 Nm of peak torque, easily surpassing the now discontinued Maruti Alto 800’s 48 hp, 69 Nm engine. The engine pairs with a five-speed gearbox, featuring a seven-plate clutch.
Overall, the bike retains the classic Royal Enfield look but with subtle modifications to accommodate the larger engine and presumably, the rider’s need for control. In terms of dimensions, the motorcycle measures 2,290 mm in length and is 1,110 mm tall. It has a long wheelbase of 1,550 mm. The motorcycle went on sale back in 2017 at a starting price of Rs 7.35 lakh, ex-showroom.
