Supreme Court agrees to hear plea for CBI to investigate NEET ‘irregularities’ | India News – Times of India

NEW DLEHI: Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a plea for a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the conduct of NEET-UG and issued notices to Centre and the National Testing Agency (NTA), but refused to stall the counselling process. The court also agreed to hear on July 8 NTA’s plea to transfer all cases on the NEET-UG row from high courts to itself.

Faced with fresh petitions filed by aggrieved students seeking an independent probe, a bench of justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta agreed to club pleas with earlier petitions seeking re-examination due to alleged question paper leak and posted all cases together for hearing on July 8.The court asked NTA to respond in two weeks to allegations levelled in the pleas.
