Commenting on the same Anand Group chairman Anand Mahindra termed Pakistan’s elimination “truly cruel”. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, “That is truly cruel. It’s much more fun to drown Pakistan out in a fair game than to have them drowned out by rain… (Angrezi shayari ki meri koshish),” wrote Mahindra.
Mahindra later also retweeted a comment from content creator Himanshu Baria. “In short – “Baarish tune kyu dhoya..hum the naa..!!??”,” Baria had replied to Mahindra’s post.

Pakistan went down to India in New York on Sunday in a close game, failing to chase a target of 120. Before this, in their opening game in Dallas, they suffered a shocking Super Over loss to the USA.
