BHOPAL: A car containing skeletal remains of two humans was recovered from the Kwari river in Morena district on Tuesday.
Incident was reported from Gopi village. A car submerged for what is believed to be several months was pulled from the Kwari river after the gates of a stop dam were opened in preparation for the monsoon season. Skeletons of two humans were found inside the vehicle upon retrieval.
Investigators have not yet been able to identify the deceased or determine the cause of death. The car was found submerged deep within the riverbed, said police.
Case has been registered at Sihoniya police station. Police suspect that the car is from Maharashtra. Details are being collected. Police suspect it to be a case of murder. Investigations are on.
