Sharing photos from the university that he visited a year ago, he thanked the prime minister “for inaugurating the new Nalanda University campus and envisioning a future of India’s global thought leadership.”

Here’s what Aggarwal wrote in the post

“Thank you PM @narendramodi ji for inaugurating the new Nalanda University campus and envisioning a future of India’s global thought leadership!,” he wrote in the X post.
“I had the opportunity to visit the new Nalanda university and the ancient ruins last year. Ancient India was not just the economic and cultural leader of the world, but also of science, technology and knowledge! Time to rebuild that,” he further added.
Nalanda University is said to be one of the world’s oldest universities. The site was declared a UN Heritage Site in 2016. Originally founded in the 5th century, it was a magnet for scholars from across the globe. The historic institution thrived for eight centuries until it was destroyed by invaders in the 12th century.
The new campus has two academic blocks with 40 classrooms, with a total seating capacity of around 1900 students. It also features two auditoriums, each with a capacity of 300 seats, and a student hostel that can accommodate approximately 550 students. Additionally, the campus offers various other facilities, such as an international centre, an amphitheatre having a capacity of up to 2000 individuals, a faculty club, and a sports complex.
