The India Bullion Jewellers Association (IBJA) has appointed Aksha Mohit Kamboj as its vice president, effective June 22, 2024.
Kamboj is an experienced expert in the field of bullion and jewellery. She is the executive chairman of Aspect Global Ventures and is also the co-owner of Cricket ISPL team Tiigers of Kolkata. She is the first and the only woman appointed to such a prestigious post in the gold and jewellery sector.
On her appointment, Kamboj said, “I am looking forward to working closely with the leadership team and our esteemed members to uphold the highest standards of integrity and excellence in our industry.”
She has been an integral part of the bullion and jewellery sector for over five years, holding key positions that have contributed significantly to the industry’s growth and development.
In her new role, Kamboj will play a pivotal role in shaping IBJA’s strategic initiatives, fostering industry collaborations, and advocating for the interests of members nationwide.
IBJA is a 105-year-old association and plays a vital role in policy-making for the gold industry. Its daily declared gold prices are used by the Ministry Finance and Reserve Bank of India for issuance and redemption of Sovereign Gold Bond and loan against gold jewellery by Banks and NBFC.
