The Bihar youths were charged with attempting to disturb communal harmony by allegedly waving the flag on Sunday evening.A similar case was reported from Darbhanga, where police launched a probe after a video said to be from Friday captured a youth waving the flag in a show of solidarity to the Palestinian people.
In Vadodara, a video of the Palestinian flag being hoisted circulated on the social media, prompting police to take action.
The two boys were identified from CCTV footage.
“The boys don’t have much idea about the Israel-Palestine conflict. They said they hoisted the flag after seeing similar posts on the social media. We have taken note, but no case has been filed,” a police officer said.
