Peyush Bansal, other founders infuse Rs 160 cr in Lenskart – ET Retail

New Delhi: Eyewear retailer Lenskart has raised around Rs 160 crore from its founders Peyush Bansal, Neha Bansal, Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi, filings sourced from market intelligence platform, PrivateCircle Research showed.

Peyush and Neha Bansal led the round with Rs 70.70 crore and 70.39 crore investment followed by Rs 9.60 crore from Chaudhary and Rs 9.35 crore from Kapahi.

The board passed a resolution to issue 6,95,875 shares at a value of Rs 2 each.

Last month, Singapore’s Temasek and US-based Fidelity invested around USD 200 million in the eyewear company via a secondary share sale. As per reports, the company was valued at about USD 5 billion. Last year, the retailer raised USD 600 million from ADIA and ChrysCapital.

The company which runs more than 2,500 stores, reported a revenue of Rs 3,788 crore in FY23. Its losses for the year stood at Rs 64 crore. Lenskart has not filed the financials for FY24 yet.
