Mamata Banerjee hand behind sexual assault charges against me: WB guv C V Ananda Bose | India News – Times of India

KOLKATA: West Bengal governor C V Ananda Bose alleged on Friday that the sexual assault charges against him by a Raj Bhavan staffer were “engineered by chief minister Mamata Banerjee“.
Bose posted on X: “This is a proxy war in which the CM is splurging public money by engaging high paid lawyers. The governor refuses to be cowed down by the dirty tricks of the CM and will continue his relentless fight against her corruption and violence.”
Bose added that “immediately after 2 May, 2024, fabricated allegations came to light, an in-house judicial enquiry was conducted by a former judge”.
Bose’s post said that in the preliminary report of independent in-house judicial enquiry it was pointed out: “The complainant spent approximately two hours in the police outpost within Raj Bhavan before being taken away in a police car.”
“Interestingly, the policemen stationed there appear to be closely associated with the complainant and other unidentified individuals, seemingly collaborating to fabricate a story about the governor. Thus, as per the report, the Kolkata police has induced and enticed the accuser and has played the role of a facilitator in the events that unfolded,” the governor claimed.
