NEW DELHI: A Jindal Group company sent a senior executive on administrative leave following allegations of molestation by a female passenger on a flight and a third-party investigation has been initiated.
Meanwhile, Vulcan Green Steel, the steel arm of Vulcan Green, which is part of the Naveen Jindal-led Group of companies, expressed deep concern over the situation and pledged to address it with the utmost seriousness, care, integrity, and urgency.
“We are deeply concerned about the recent allegations involving a senior executive in our company. We recognize the gravity of the situation and are committed to addressing it with utmost seriousness, care, integrity, and urgency,” Vulcan Green Steel said in a statement.
The company futher said that in accordance with its zero-tolerance policy an independent and credible third party will lead the investigation, maintaining impartiality throughout the process.
Additionally, Naveen Jindal, chairman of Jindal Steel and Power, assured that the allegations made by the female passenger, who claimed the executive showed her obscene videos under the guise of movie clips during a flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi, will be thoroughly investigated.
