NEW DELHI: NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar met with Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai on Monday.
The significant meeting between the two leaders is seen as crucial ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections scheduled for later this year.
The meeting took place a day after CM Shinde echoed Union home minister Amit Shah‘s remark, calling Pawar the “sargana of corruption”.The CM urged the opposition MVA to reflect on their actions.
While addressing a BJP convention in Pune, Shah had labeled Pawar as the “sargana” (ringleader) who institutionalized corruption in the country and referred to Uddhav Thackeray as “the head of the Aurangzeb fan club.”
