In a post on X, he said , “Instead of delivering this budget, they could’ve just said – “Iss baar man sa nahi kar raha – agli baar dekh lenge agar kuchh karna hai toh .”
“Actually watching yet another Ambani wedding function over this – would’ve been more value and better use of time,” he added.
The BharatPe founder also before the Budget in an interview said, “End of the day, people want to know whether the tax will be hiked or not, product prices are hiked or not, the prospect of job & future.”

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget for 2024-25 on Tuesday, marking her seventh consecutive presentation. This achievement surpasses the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. The 2024 Budget is the first during Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government’s third term in office.
Sitharaman stressed on India’s ongoing economic growth, even as the global economy grapples with policy uncertainty. She said that the people of India have reinforced their faith in the Modi-led government by re-electing it for a third term. “India’s economic growth continues to shine while the global economy is still in the grip of policy uncertainty,” Sitharaman stated during her presentation in the Lok Sabha.
