NEW DELHI: Delhi-NCR witnessed heavy spell of rain early on Wednesday morning.
According to IMD, residents can expect a drop in day temperature over the next few days. A yellow alert has been issued for today and tomorrow.

While some parts of the city experienced moderate rain on Monday, only a few areas saw brief, intense showers between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm on Tuesday.

Safdarjung, the base station, recorded no rain, while Palam received 6.6mm, Pusa 6mm, Mayur Vihar 8.5mm, Ayanagar 0.7mm and Pitampura 2mm of rainfall.
Lodhi Road and Ridge had a trace amount of rain, too minimal to measure.
Humidity ranged from 65% to 95%. So far in July, the city has accumulated 118.2mm of rainfall, which is 22% below the normal 151mm.
Since the monsoon began on June 28, the city has recorded 355.2mm of rain.
In June, Delhi saw the highest recorded rainfall in the past 88 years.
Due to the recent rains, the water levels in the Yamuna River have risen. Authorities have issued alerts to residents of Noida villages situated along the riverbanks.
These residents experienced severe flooding last year during the monsoon season, which caused significant inconvenience in both Delhi and Noida.
