US President Joe Biden on Tuesday made his first appearance after taking the call to step aside and make way for a new democratic presidential nominee. The president who was on a brief isolation due to Covid 19 returned to the White House declaring himself well and fine after testing negative for the virus.
Joe Biden not only sprung a surprise during his isolation by announcing to step down from the presidential race but his absence since then has fueled rumors about a “terminal illness,” “imminent death” and a “White House coup” with #WhereisJoe” trending virally.However, clearing the air president Biden as soon as he returned took to X with a picture and said, “It’s great to be back at the White House.”

In a statement released by the White House, the doctor revealed that most of Biden’s symptoms have resolved and that he never had a fever. His vitals were also stable throughout the infection period. “The President’s symptoms have resolved. Over the course of his infection, he never manifested a fever, and his vital signs remained normal, to include pulse oximetry.His lungs remained clear. BINAX rapid antigen testing is negative. He will continue to be monitored for any recurrence of illness,” the doctor said.
“The President continues to perform all of his presidential duties,” he added in the statement.
White house had announced last week on Wednesday that Biden tested positive for Covid-19 while traveling in Las Vegas and was experiencing ‘mild symptoms’. Following the diagnosis, Biden flew to his Delaware resident to self isolate. Amid recovery, Biden announced on Sunday that he was dropping from the presidential race while endorsing vice president Kamala Harris to take his place.

President Biden, who has assured to work to the best of his abilities till his current term ends in January 2025 also confirmed the announcement that he’ll address the nation from his oval office on “what lies ahead” and how he “will finish the job for the American people” at 8 pm (ET).
