Goldberg drops The Undertaker with two brutal Spears: WWE Super ShowDown 2019
Goldberg and Undertaker are the two of the most iconic men, who ruled WCW and WWE respectively throughout the 90’s. Unfortunately, when Goldberg arrived in WWE, he did not have any matches with the Deadman, and it was an unfulfilled wish for all the Diehard fans of both the legends. When Goldberg returned to WWE in 2016 and shocked the whole world by defeating the likes of Brock Lesnar, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens, also winning the WWE Universal Championship on the way, everyone expected to have his much awaited rivalry with the Phenom. Unfortunately, when the two greats had the much anticipated encounter, it turned out to be a dampener. It was known to everyone that both the superstars were at the Twilight of their careers, and the match could not have been a fast paced one at all.
The match was a Botch-fest, with Goldberg sustaining concussions all throughout the match, not being able to perform his signature moves and complete the desired action set pieces. Goldberg attempted to deliver a Tombstone Piledriver of his own to the Deadman, but both men fell down miserably. It was the last of so many botches the took place in the match. Now Goldberg has finally opened up about not being able to perform the way he would have liked and knocking himself out before even coming to the ring. He stated “I knocked myself out before walking into the freaking ring you know, when I came back………. intensity is something very hard to replicate and I had forgotten my sequence to the ring, I had forgotten my preparation, it had been so long and I had put it away, I had put it in a dark place in my mind, I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know how to get ready for matches anymore. I was just detached and oh I remember this, I gotta headbutt the door, and I headbutted the door right when they played my music, to wrestle Taker which was the most unbelievable opportunity ever, and I knocked myself out”

Bill also accepted the fact that he got knocked out again in the ring, the second time when he was shoved into the turnbuckle by Undertaker and Goldberg, to make it look real, headbutted the ring post. “If I’m gonna be hurt, I’d like to make it look as real as possible, yeah sometimes making it real’’ Goldberg said when asked about him getting knocked out again. Goldberg doesn’t have any regrets and instead he is thankful that nobody got hurt seriously, and life moved on.
