Gun Video: Puja Khedkar’s mother Manorama gets bail | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Manorama Khedkar, the mother of former probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar, has been granted bail in a case concerning alleged criminal intimidation tied to a land dispute.

Manorama was apprehended on July 18 from a lodge in Hirkaniwadi village near Mahad in Raigad district, where she had been hiding.
Paud police in rural Pune on July 12 registered the case against Manorama and six others, including Puja’s father, Dilip Khedkar, after a video went viral on social media showing Manorama, accompanied by private bouncers, brandishing a .25 Webley & Scott pistol on June 5, 2023, during an argument with some farmers over a land ownership issue at Dhadhawali village in Mulshi tehsil.
One of the farmers lodged a complaint in this connection.
Meanwhile, her daughter Puja Khedkar, whose candidature for IAS was cancelled by UPSC, is facing numerous allegations, including misconduct related to power and privileges, misuse of disability and Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer) quotas to secure her candidature in the civil service exam, and manipulation of her identity to exceed the permissible number of attempts.
Khedkar was booked on July 19 by the crime branch. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) lodged a police case against Khedkar for allegedly fraudulent actions.
This is a developing story
