Janel Grant is a former employee at the WWE global headquarters, where she was a part of the legal and talent departments from 2019 and 2022. She officially filed a lawsuit in January 2024 alleging that she fell victim to McMahon’s misconduct while working at the company. She claimed that the former chairman of the promotion had coerced her into having sexual relationships with other wrestlers.

It read, “McMahon also subjected Ms. Grant to acts of extreme cruelty and degradation that caused Ms. Grant to disassociate and/or become numb to reality in order to survive the horrific encounters.”
Grant’s attorney for the case Ann Callis made a statement on May 30, that Ms Grant has agreed to “stay her case” pending a federal investigation. Callis stated that they will, “cooperate with all appropriate next steps.” McMahon’s attorney Jessica Rosenberg continues to maintain that the allegations against her client are entirely false and believes that the investigation will confirm so in the near future. Both WWE and its parent company TKO have assured the press that they have taken Grant’s allegations very seriously. The final result of the investigation will dictate further developments in the case.
