Uttar Pradesh: Bulldozer action on Ayodhya’s SP leader Moeed Khan’s bakery | Lucknow News – Times of India


LUCKNOW: A team from the District administration of Ayodhya and the police arrived with a bulldozer to demolish the bakery of SP leader Moeed Khan, who is accused of raping a minor girl. However, the machine got stuck in the soil by the pond during the operation. Consequently, the demolition has been temporarily halted, and only part of the bakery’s wall has been destroyed.Police officials have now called for another bulldozer.

Police said that in Bhadarsa, the rape accused Moeed Khan had illegally constructed his bakery on pond land. SDM Sohawal Ashok Kumar said, “The bakery was sealed after being found illegal, and demolition is underway. The accused’s house will also be demolished.”
Bakery License to be Revoked
Following the intervention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assistant Food Commissioner Manikchand Singh conducted a raid on Saturday at Moeed Khan’s bakery. During the raid, samples of food products being made in the bakery were taken, and the bakery was subsequently sealed.
Assistant Commissioner Manikchand said that the process of revoking the bakery’s license has begun. After sealing the bakery, all the items inside are being removed. The bakery was built on a large piece of land, with a part of it used for the bakery and a larger portion for crop cultivation. Municipal staff from Bhadarsa are removing all items from inside the bakery.
Case Filed Against SP Leaders for Threatening Victim’s Family
Earlier, in Ayodhya’s Purakalander police station area, a case was registered against the President of Bhadarsa Nagar Panchayat and two Samajwadi Party functionaries for threatening the family of the rape victim to settle the case.
Ramsevak Das of Bharatkund Pipra reported in the FIR that Mohammad Rashid, SP leader Jai Singh Rana, and another person reached the District Women’s Hospital around 11 pm and pressured the victim’s family in the private ward to settle the case. When they refused, they were threatened with death. Nagar Kotwal Ashwani Pandey stated that a case has been registered based on Ramsevak Das’s complaint, and the matter is under investigation.
To recall, the incident occurred in the Pura Kalandar area of Ayodhya in which Moeed Khan and his house help have been accused of raping and blackmailing the 12-year-old girl who worked as a daily wage employee at Khan’s home. Ayodhya police on Thursday arrested Khan on charges of raping the girl for over two months, ending in the girl getting pregnant. They also allegedly video recorded the assault.
“Over two months, Khan continued to sexually abuse her, using the video to intimidate and threaten her. Khan committed these acts with the assistance of Raju, his employee. The crime came to light when the minor became pregnant,” said a police officer. Following the family’s complaint, the police have filed a report against the accused under the Pocso Act.
