Customer-centric strategies and focus on hyperlocal services to drive FNP’s growth, says Pawan Gadia, Global CEO and Director – ET Retail

New Delhi: Gifting brand FNP (Ferns N Petals) is expecting that its innovative and customer-centric strategies will help surpass last year’s performance, Pawan Gadia, global CEO and director at FNP told ETRetail in an interview.

“Our sales expectations for this fiscal year are promising, building on the success we saw last year both domestically and internationally,” Gadia said without sharing performance figures.

FNP’s revenue from operations in the fiscal year 2022-23 increased to Rs 607 crore from Rs 579 crore in the fiscal year 2021-22, as per a consolidated financial statement filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

On the investments front, the company shared that it has made significant investments in technology, hyperlocal capabilities, and offline expansion to enhance customer experience and reach new markets. “Hyperlocal services, in particular, are a key focus area where we anticipate substantial growth,” said Gadia.

Strategic growth

FNP has seen an increasing interest for premium and personalized gifts in tier 2 and 3 cities, catching up with the strong demand for such gifts in tier 1 cities across India.

Sharing his thoughts Gadia said, “Today’s consumers, regardless of location, are aware of both domestic and international trends. At FNP, we focus on psychographic profiles rather than demographics to better understand our customers.”

FNP’s approach to market expansion involves detailed research into local cultures and consumer behaviors. The company said it prioritizes identifying markets where its offerings can make a significant impact, ensuring meaningful growth and reinforcing its commitment to making every celebration special globally.

A convenient online platform, robust logistics, and targeted marketing using social media and regional influencers have further fueled the FNP’s growth, the company said.

Founded in 1994 by Vikaas Gutgutia, FNP presently operates in the gifting segment primarily, offering customers flowers, cakes, and customized goods. The brand also has an international presence in countries including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Singapore.
