Biden says he would attend Trump inauguration if he wins: ‘I have good manners’ – Times of India

President Joe Biden Tuesday said he would attend Donald Trump’s inauguration in January in case the Republican presidential candidate wins this year’s election. “I have good manners, not like him,” Biden told reporters after being asked if he’d attend. Trump did not attend Biden’s inauguration in 2021. It was the first time in over 150 years that the outgoing president skipped the new president’s swearing in.
Recently, Biden cleared the air about his opting out of the presidential race that he was so adamant to fight weeks ago. In an interview, Biden made it clear that some of his senior Democrat colleagues including Nancy Pelosi pressured him to step aside though he was not willing. He said he had no health issue and his fight with Trump was going neck and neck.
On a question on how much more progressive Kamala Harris is than Biden, the president said Kamala is not more progressive than him on policy. “The issues we’ve worked on together have made big progress economically,” Biden said.
“No one calls what we did on infrastructure progressive. It’s a good policy,” Biden added.
In his interview with Elon Musk, Donald Trump Monday said removing Biden was a coup and Kamala Harris is as bad as Biden. Trump blamed Biden for Russia-Ukraine and Israel crisis and said a smart president could have stopped it. “But we had a man that actually made it more prevalent. It was so bad. The words he was using, the stupid threats coming from a stupid face that he was using. I said, this guy’s gonna cause us a war. he’s gonna cause this. And let me tell you, it can lead to World War III,” Trump said.
