MUMBAI: Amid speculation that some Congress MLAs cross-voted in the recently held MLC polls-the party is yet to take action over that-two party MLAs, Hiraman Khoskar (Igatpuri) and Jitesh Antapurkar (Deglur), met CM Eknath Shinde late Tuesday, fuelling the buzz that they could join Shiv Sena. Khoskar had met Shinde last month, too. Antapurkar met BJP MP Ashok Chavan last month, which had given rise to the speculation that some Congress MLAs who had allegedly cross-voted could switch over to Mahayuti.
Khoskar and Antapurkar played down the meeting’s significance. “I was with Congress and will remain with Congress. I met the CM for funds,” said Khoskar. Antapurkar said he met the CM for “important work in my constituency”.
