New Delhi: Apparel retailer Cantabil Retail reported a net profit of Rs 11.4 crore in the quarter that ended June 30, 2024 against Rs 12.3 crore profit in the same period last year, it said in a regulatory filing.
The company posted a revenue of Rs 127.9 crore in the quarter, slightly up from Rs 111.8 crore in Q1FY24. Its EBITDA stood at Rs 39.4 crore witnessing growth of 14.5 per cent from the same quarter last year.
“FY25 has started on a positive note with the company delivering a double-digit volume growth of 18 percent in total and achieving a positive SSG. This was achieved despite a lower wedding season demand and heat wave conditions specifically in north India impacting consumption. The above normal monsoons prediction and its progress so far will likely translate into improvement in discretionary spending. That alongside government focus on consumption push bodes well for companies with strong brand loyalties and customer connect,” said Vijay Bansal, CMD, Cantabil Retail India.
On the expansion front, the company opened 11 stores during Q1 FY25, taking the total store count to 545. Additionally, the company sells via its official shopping website, and e-commerce channels like Myntra, Ajio, Flipkart, and Amazon.
