NEW DELHI: Videos circulating online on Sunday shows how an 18-year-old boy lost his life, and his 17-year-old friend sustained injuries when an air conditioner’s outdoor unit fell on them from a building’s second floor, in a tragic incident in Central Delhi the previous day.
The video footage shows the victim, Jitesh, sitting on a scooter in the Doriwalan area at around 7 pm on Saturday, talking with his friend Pranshu, when an AC outdoor unit detached from a building and fell on the two friends, injuring both of them.
The victims were rushed to a nearby medical facility, where the doctors pronounced Jitesh dead upon his arrival. Pranshu, however, was admitted for further treatment, which is currently undergoing and is unfit for statement.
