‘Will Mamata Banerjee please … ‘: Bengal governor after SC observations on Kolkata rape-murder case – Times of India

NEW DELHI: After the Supreme Court rapped the West Bengal government over the way the Kolkata rape-murder case was handled, the state governor CV Ananda Bose termed the hearing a “great relief”.
Taking a dig at Bengal chief minister, Bose said, “Remember, every saint has a past, every sinner has a future. Anyone listening?”
“Will Mamata Banerjee please raise her hands?” he added.

This came as the apex court criticised the Bengal government for the delay in filing FIR.
Bose, who is currently in the national capital, also launched a mobile control room and said, “Anyone may call up the numbers if they wish to convey anything to HG (Governor of Kolkata).”
“Governor of West Bengal Dr CV Ananda Bose has opened a mobile control room with numbers 03322001641 and 92890 10682 for the ongoing agitation in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a 2nd year PGT female resident doctor of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Kolkata,” Raj Bhavan media Cell said in a post on X.
The governor made the first call from the control room to the victim’s father, assuring him full support.
