VIJAYAWADA: At least 18 workers suffered injuries in a blast at a chemical factory in the Special Economic Zone in Rambilli mandal of Anakapalli district on Wednesday.
The blast was reported during the lunch hours from a reactor at the Escientia chemical factory premises.
The injured were shifted to the NTR hospital and a private hospital.
Andhra Pradesh home minister Vangalapudi Anitha instructed the district collector and SP to visit the blast site and provide better treatment to the injured workers.
