“Rahul Gandhi needs medical treatment, his mental health check-up needs to be done,” the BJP leader said.
“The most worrying is that he wants to know the caste of everyone but he doesn’t want to reveal his.When it was asked, he said that he has been abused, then asking other people’s caste would also be abuse,” he added.
This came after the leader of opposition criticised the Miss India list for not being inclusive of Dalit, Adivasi (tribal), and OBC women. “I have checked the list of Miss India, which did not have any Dalit, Adivasi, or OBC women. Some will talk about cricket or Bollywood. No one will show the cobbler or plumber. Even top anchors in the media are not from the 90%,” he had said.
Calling it ‘Bal Buddhi’, parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju also criticised Rahul saying, “Now, he wants reservations in Miss India competitions, films, sports! It is not only issue of “Bal Budhi”, but people who cheer him are – equally responsible too!”
Earlier, the Congress leader had doubled down on the need for a caste census saying that “like an X-ray it will reveal who has access to wealth and assets, identify the most marginalised communities, and highlight the families lacking basic needs and opportunities.”
“It will show us who is and isn’t represented in our nation’s institutions—whether in government, business, media, or judiciary,” he had said.
