Amazon delivers cancelled order after two years, internet says ‘most prestigious’ – Times of India

An Amazon user said that the e-tailer delivered his cancelled order after two years. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jay @thetrickytrade shared a screenshot with order details depicting that he ordered a pressure cooker on October 1, 2022. He said he cancelled the order and received a refund for the same in 2022. Despite this, the amazon order arrived on his doorstep on August 28, 2024.
The post was captioned “Thank you Amazon for delivering my order after 2 years. The cook is elated after the prolonged wait, must be a very special pressure cooker! 🙏”. It was shared on August 29 and has gone viral since then gaining over 120K views so far.

Responding to the post, Amazon Help wrote “@thetrickytrade Hi there, we’re sorry to hear this. Kindly report this to our support team using this link: https://amzn.to/3JT9ckz.”
To this, Jay replied “Report what? The order was cancelled and refunded back in 2022? And delivered out of nowhere yesterday. How do I pay for it now?”.
An X user commented on the post. He said “You should be happy it was custom made .. to the smallest details of mining the aluminium especially for your order”. “I think your order is coming from parallel universe so it took 2 years to reach it to you,” replied another.
While a third commented “It’s the most ‘prestigious’ cooker – almost a limited edition. You are lucky to have got it. I am still waiting to lay my hands on something like this,”. “Looks like the delivery boy got stuck in University Circle traffic,” commented another.
