New Delhi: Global multi-specialist sports retailer Decathlon India has partnered with quick commerce firm Zepto, aiming to provide faster access of sports and fitness products to consumers across the country, it announced in a press release on Friday.
Commenting on the partnership, Sankar Chatterjee, CEO at Decathlon India, said, “As the demand for an active lifestyle in the country continues to grow, we are committed to being part of this journey. This partnership further strengthens our mission to move people through the wonders of sport by quickly and efficiently delivering sporting products and equipment directly to their doorsteps.”
From September users in sixteen cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, and Hyderabad, amongst others, can shop products across various categories of fitness, outdoor, water sports, team sports, and more through the quick commerce platform.

Last month, Decathlon shared its plans of investing Rs 933 crore in India over the next five years to expand from 127 to 190 stores, enhance its digital engagement and boost its make-in-India portfolio. Currently, 68 per cent of Decathlon’s products sold in India are manufactured locally. The retailer aims to increase its local sourcing to 85 per cent by 2026.
