A UP Police officer is facing action after an online complaint was filed against him for violating number plate regulations. The complaint was initiated by a user on social media platform X (earlier Twitter), who spotted the officer’s bike with a unique number plate. The user then shared the image on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform and tagged the police department in the same.He also added a picture of the bike that the officer was seen driving.
In the X post, a user named Akash Gaur wrote (translated from Hindi): “Does the police have special power to keep this type of number plate or only they? By the way, for the general public, the fine is Rs 5,000 @uptrafficpolice @Gzbtrafficpol Location – Near Arthala Mod in front of Ahuja Hotel. Ghaziabad.”

The recent post has already received thousands of views. Moreover, Ghaziabad Police also acknowledged the complaint and took action against the involved personnel.
