NEW DELHI: India launched ‘Operation Sadbhav‘ on Sunday, sending emergency relief supplies to Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam, to help them cope with the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.
The Typhoon is considered the most powerful storm in Asia this year, which has led to widespread flooding and severe damages in all three countries.

External affairs minister S.Jaishankar in his post on X said, “India launches #OperationSadbhav. Demonstrating our solidarity with the people affected by Typhoon Yagi, India is dispatching aid to Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos.”
“10 tons of aid including dry ration, clothing and medicines left for Myanmar onboard @indiannavy INS Satpura today,” he added.

“10 tons of aid including dry ration, clothing and medicines left for Myanmar onboard @indiannavy INS Satpura today,” he added.
Jaishankar further added: “@IAF_MCC is carrying 35 tons of aid comprising of water purification items, water containers, blankets, kitchen utensils, solar lanterns for Vietnam.”
“10 tons of aid comprising genset, water purification items, hygiene supplies, mosquito nets, blankets and sleeping bags for Laos,” he said.

The Indian government has swiftly organised the delivery of 10 tonnes of aid, including dry rations, clothing, and medicines to Vietnam through Indian naval ship INS Satpura.
Additionally the Indian Air Force deployed a military transport aircraft to deliver 35 tonnes of aid to Vietnam and 10 tonnes to Laos.
