NOIDA: Four people died while another was injured after the car in which they were travelling in collided with a tractor in Noida early on Monday.
According to the police, the accident took place at around 2am under Sector 24 police station jurisdiction.
“Five young men from New Kundli, New Ashok Nagar, Delhi, were travelling back from Noida in an Alto car after having dinner when their vehicle collided with the tractor.The deceased were identified as Mohit, Vishal, Himanshu alias Bittu, and Manish.
Uttam, the sole survivor, suffered injuries but is currently receiving medical treatment and is reported to be in a stable condition,” deputy commissioner of police Rambadan Singh, said.
Following Uttam’s account of the incident, the police have registered a case under sections 106(1) (causing death by negligence), 125 (wrongful restraint), and 281 (rash driving in public) of BNS.
The tractor involved in the accident has been seized.
