‘House finalised in Lutyens’: Arvind Kejriwal to vacate Delhi CM residence in 1-2 days | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A house has been finalized for AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi area, where he will move with his family within the next one to two days, vacating the official chief minister’s residence at Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines, the AAP announced on Wednesday.
Sources within the party indicated that Kejriwal is likely to relocate to one of the two official bungalows allocated to AAP Rajya Sabha MPs on Feroz Shah Road near Mandi House.
These bungalows are just a short distance from the AAP headquarters on Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane.
Having resigned as Delhi chief minister earlier this month, Kejriwal stated that he would vacate the official residence during the Navratri festival, which begins on Thursday.
“The party confirmed that Kejriwal will leave the official CM residence in the next 1-2 days, as a house has been secured for him and his family,” although the exact location of the new accommodation was not disclosed.
Kejriwal will reside with his family in the New Delhi constituency that he represents in the Delhi Assembly.
Additionally, the AAP has called on the Central Government to provide Kejriwal with an official residence as the leader of a national party.
