Niecy Nash Receives Applause from Travis Kelce for Cheering Him On
Travis Kelce recently gave a shout-out to Niecy Nash for attending the game at SoFi Stadium.He appreciated kindness and expressed how much it meant when he saw her attend the Chargers game.
“Niecy’s awesome,” Kelce said. “She came out and supported me at the Chargers game. It was cool seeing her on the sideline.”
Nash and Donna Kelce Cheer from the Sidelines
Niecy Nash sat through the game with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce. On the podcast, Kelce said his mom was ‘all thumbs up’ for Nash. “Mama Kelce had nothing but amazing things to say about her,” he said. Nash followed comments she made in an interview with PEOPLE where she said she was personally dedicating herself to support Kelce. According to Nash, she cheered for the star athlete as if he was her brother once she became friends with the latter.
Connection of Nash to Kelce and the Chiefs
Recently, Nash admitted she’d never have bothered making her plans public without the friendship for Kelce: “At first, it was just like watching the game, and now it’s like, ‘Oh, there’s my friend Travis” Nash said. For Nash, the relationship she has cultivated with Kelce just makes playing that much more exciting, and sooner or later, she thinks her friendships will have something to do with game-day experiences.
Co-Authorship on “Grotesquerie”
In an earlier interview with PEOPLE, Nash also shared experiences working with Kelce on the set of their show Grotesquerie. She says that instantly, his charm took over the whole crew on set. “Travis was lovely to have on set—very professional and always prepared,” she said, joking that he had a big appetite. Nash said that Kelce was quite open to feedback, and her coworker, a really fun and easygoing one to be around.
Security Issues Kept Taylor Swift from Showing Up
Although Nash was sitting in the stands to watch his buddy Kelce play, Taylor Swift was not there for the Week 4 game. Reports have it that the reason for Swift’s absence was because of security issues. For all Swift missed the Week 4 match, Kelce still had all the reasons to smile with his friend Nash and family around him in the stands.
