NCP leader Sachin Kurmi murdered in South Mumbai | Mumbai News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Sachin Kurmi, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) (Ajit Pawar faction), was killed in Mumbai’s Byculla area on Wednesday night.
Mumbai Police stated, “NCP leader Sachin Kurmi was murdered by unidentified persons with a sharp-edged weapon in Mumbai’s Byculla area last night. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.”
The attack occurred around 12.30 am near the MHADA colony in Byculla.
Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and transported the injured Kurmi to JJ Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
The police indicated that 2 to 3 people were likely involved in the assault, while the identities of the attackers remain unknown. Further details on the matter are awaited.
