NEW DELHI: As India gear up for the first T20I against Bangladesh in Gwalior on Sunday, the Indian team had a gruelling practice session on Saturday.
This match will be India’s first home T20 match since winning the second T20 World Cup in the West Indies earlier this year.
But the Indian squad, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will have just four players from the squad that clinched the marquee event.
Ahead of the match, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) shared a video of captain Suryakumar Yadav overlooking the practice session of batsmen like Washington Sundar and Rinku Singh.
And in his typical Mumbaikar style, SKY describes the shots by each batsman in his unique style.
Suryakumar Yadav himself is known for his innovative and dynamic style of batting, which has earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting modern-day players in white-ball cricket.
SKY’s fearless approach, unconventional shots, and ability to score runs all around the ground make him a versatile and dangerous batter, particularly in T20 cricket.
India will use this series against Bangladesh to begin preparations for defending their title in the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
